E’ in distribuzione da oggi  nessuno mi può giudicare? il mio nuovo libro che discute criticamente la valutazione dell’università e le diverse pratiche che si stanno sviluppando per ricerca e didattica. Proprio la grande diffusione delle pratiche valutative, sotto la spinta di agenzie come in Italia l’Anvur, rende importante chiarire quale sia “l’uso appropriato della valutazione”. Al proposito, ho inserito in epigrafe al libro questo passo di Michael Quinn Patton:

“Increasingly, the evaluation profession is called on to contribute to the general public welfare, speak truth to power, and support critical thinking in this global age of widespread disinformation and misinformation. As politicians worldwide have adopted the language of evaluation – rhetoric about accountability, outcomes, benchmarks, evidence, impact, lesson learned – evaluators have the added role of assuring that  the rhetoric matches reality, and that means working to ensure the appropriate uses of evaluation”.
